Self-Employed Housekeeper Attacked by Client's Dog

A 61yr old self employed house keeper was attacked by a dog at the home of one of her customers, causing injuries and permanent scarring to her right, dominant arm. After it was determined that the owner of the dog had in place a separate Insurance Rider in the amount of $20,000.00 for injuries resulting from Dog Bites and a specific exclusion in their Homeowners Policy, our office filed suit in Worcester Superior Court and obtained a Real Estate Attachment, leading to a settlement of more than $100,000.00.
