Special Education Law
Every child in Massachusetts has the right to a free and appropriate public education (FAPE), including access to special education services when needed. Our firm advocates for families to ensure their children receive the support and accommodations they are entitled to under federal and state law. We represent parents in disputes with school districts, ensuring that Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans are properly developed, implemented, and enforced.
Navigating special education laws can be overwhelming for families. We help interpret evaluations, participate in team meetings, and ensure school districts fulfill their legal obligations. When disputes arise, we represent clients in mediation, due process hearings, and appeals before the Bureau of Special Education Appeals (BSEA). Our approach is child-centered and focused on achieving meaningful educational outcomes that support each student’s unique needs.
We understand the emotional and practical challenges families face when trying to secure appropriate services. Whether your child has autism, ADHD, a learning disability, or another qualifying condition, we are committed to ensuring they have equal access to education and the tools they need to succeed.
