State Trooper Charged with Exceeding the Scope of a Warrantless Search

When a State Trooper was sued in Federal District Court for allegedly exceeding the scope of a permissable warrantless search of a public employee's personal cellphone by copying all of its files, our office was successful in dismissing the case, under the Doctrine of Qualified Immunity.
